Bezienswaardigheden / tips Hampton Beach 2026:

1) Hampton Beach: Zes kilometer ten zuiden van North Hampton ligt het populaire Hampton Beach met een 2,5 km lange en brede zandstrand. Deze badplaats heeft een theater waar bekende entertainers optreden en een ouderwetse promenade met speelhallen, ijssalons en kraampjes. Hampton Beach (dat het gehele jaar geopend is) is in de zomermaanden het drukst. In deze tijd komen de vakantiegangers genieten van de kilometerslange schone zandstranden, die ook een gebied omvatten dat is afgezet voor surfers. Hampton Beach is niet bedoeld voor mensen die rust zoeken, maar is ingesteld op gezinnen en de jeugd. Behalve de gratis concerten zijn hier ook waterglijbanen, goochelshows en vuurwerkshows gedurende het hoogseizoen. Als je aan wat minder drukte de voorkeur geeft, kun je naar een van de stranden in de vier staatsparken langs de kust gaan. Het Hampton Beach State Park ligt ten zuiden van Hampton Beach; het Rye Harbor State Park, het Wallis Sands State Park en het Odiorne Point State Park zijn alle drie ten noorden van de stad te vinden, langs de landelijke kustweg State Route 1A.

2) Hampton Beach Children's Festival: In augustus wordt speciaal voor kinderen een weeklang het Hampton Beach Children's Festival gehouden met goochelaars en clowns en afsluitend een kinderoptocht. Een maand eerder kunnen toekomstige architecten en landschapsontwerpers in een jaarlijkse wedstrijd hun fantasie tonen. 

3) Oceanarium: Een bezoek aan Oceanarium is zeer de moeite waard en erg leuk voor kinderen. Hier leer je heel veel over de vissen en zoogdieren die voor de kust van New Hampshire en Maine leven. Er is interactie met een aantal zeedieren die hier in de tanks leven waardoor de kinderen beter leren over de wereld in de Oceaan. Ook leer je heel veel over walvissen en haaien. Het doel van deze organisatie is om een ieder zowel jong en oud uitleg te geven over het ecosysteem en de natuurlijke wonderen in de Golf van Maine. De entree is $ 10,00 per volwassen en $ 8,00 voor kinderen onder de 10 jaar.

1) Hampton Beach: Four miles south of North Hampton is the popular Hampton Beach, a 1.35 mile stretch of sandy beach. This seaside town has a theater that hosts well-known entertainers and an old-fashioned boardwalk with arcades, ice cream parlors, and stands. Hampton Beach (open year-round) is busiest during the summer months, when vacationers come to enjoy miles of sandy beaches, which include an area set aside for surfers. Hampton Beach is not for the quiet seekers, but is geared toward families and young adults. In addition to the free concerts, there are also water slides, magic shows, and fireworks during the peak season. If you prefer something a little less crowded, head to one of the beaches in the four state parks along the coast. Hampton Beach State Park is located south of Hampton Beach; Rye Harbor State Park, Wallis Sands State Park, and Odiorne Point State Park are all located north of town along the rural coastal State Route 1A.

2) Hampton Beach Childeren's Festival: In August, the Hampton Beach Children's Festival is held for a week, featuring magicians and clowns, and a children's parade at the end. A month earlier, future architects and landscape designers can show their imagination in an annual competition. 

3) Oceanarium: A visit to the Oceanarium is very worthwhile and great fun for children. Here you will learn a lot about the fish and mammals that live off the coast of New Hampshire and Maine. There is interaction with a number of sea creatures that live in the tanks here, which helps the children learn more about the world in the ocean. You will also learn a lot about whales and sharks. The goal of this organization is to educate everyone, young and old, about the ecosystem and natural wonders of the Gulf of Maine. Admission is $10.00 per adult and $8.00 for children under 10.

Het New Hampshire Marine Memorial monument is opgedragen aan alle militairen uit New Hampshire die op zee zijn omgekomen door oorlogsvoering (zie film).
